When I’m not writing about replica pistols, I also write about true crime cases. The Murder World: Scotland series are short books which examine some lesser known cases from Scotland. A killing at kinky cottage is the story of the 1968 murder of Maxwell Garvie. When it came to trial, this case attracted huge publicity – so many people queued for seats that the police were forced to erect crush barriers. No wonder – this case had a beautiful woman accused of murder, bizarre sex, money and a very odd love rectangle. And yet, for some reason this case is largely forgotten today…
